Be Prepared: A Family Medicine Cabinet Checklist |
|
 |
The time to stock up on supplies is now, before you or someone in your family gets that sore throat, splinter or scrape. After all, even a little boo-boo can turn into a big “oh no” if you’re out of bandages. No cough drops on hand? Rather than running out to the store once you have a cold, why not sit back and take a soothing moment for yourself?
So how does your medicine cabinet stack up? |
Consider stocking these staples in addition to any medicines you may keep on hand:
- Throat and cough lozenges
- Bandages
- Sterile gauze pads and adhesive tape
- Cotton balls and cotton swabs
- Antibiotic ointment
- Elastic bandage
- A chemical ice-pack
- Hydrocortisone cream
- Calamine lotion
- Tweezers
- Sterile eye wash
- Thermometer
- First Aid guide
- Emergency phone numbers (such as doctor, hospital, poison control, fire department and police)
